Identity Design was founded by Dave McGregor in March 1986. Back then the business’ primary function was to provide graphic design and print management services to other small to medium sized businesses.

McGregor started off in the printing industry, serving an apprenticeship as a sheetfed, offset and letterpress printer. After studying graphic design in combination with advertising and marketing, McGregor's experience grew to encompases a wide range of graphic communication strategies in printing, publishing, advertising and marketing.

He has provided his services to a wide range of businesses, mostly SME’s but also several nationwide organisations including Agriculture NZ (previously known as NZ Vegfed), The Warehouse, Health & Disability Commissioner, Barfoot & Thompson, National Heart Foundation, ANZ bank, AIA Insurance and a myriad of other smaller businesses.

He has provided license management services using Warner Bros, Sesame Street, and other licenses in the production of souvenir items, apparell and other household goods. He’s been involved in the publishing of several magazines including Albany Buzz Magazine, NZ Golf Magazine, NZ Runner Magazine, the Soccer Express Newspaper plus a number of books and other smaller periodicals.

These days his activities are more centred on web marketing and the internet. He draws on a wide range of creative skills that have been honed and developed over the years to provide a well rounded and comprehensive service to his customers, both in print and online. His pricing is very reasonable and is within the reach of even very small businesses who may need help promoting themselves and their products and services in a professional manner.

Feel free to call Dave or send him an email to discuss your design and promotional requirements. You are assured of his close personal attention every step of the way.

“We have been working with Dave McGregor from Identity Design since 2006. We approached Identity Design with a challenge to produce a logo for a new brand of products to be released in the competitive fibre optic market. Dave produced a group of options that impressed our management team and thus began a relationship built on trust and innovation.

Identity Design have since employed their impressive design skills to re-engineer our old ATG corporate logo into new vibrant images now displayed on our buildings, website, stationery, business cards and vehicles.

Dave has a real talent for design and print and I have no hesitation in recommending his company as a capable and reliable business to deal with.”
